Relaxation

Wow, I loved the thought of relaxing. I often go to bed with my mind racing a mile a minute.I listened carefully, but often found my mind going back to the same old things. I had to work very hard to focus. Clearly, I have a long way to go in this. I have downloaded some additional meditation from another site for free. I will put the link here, if anyone else wants to check it out.

  1. Hi Ginger,

I experience the same thing as you do once I am in bed. If I am not completely exhausted, I find my mind racing one-hundred miles per hour and I just cannot get it to stop. So, instead of fighting it I do one of two things. I just go with it and eventually, I just fall asleep. Upon waking, I often wonder when it was I fell asleep. Or I take amino acids to help promote sleep. These aren't just aminos from GNC or some health food store. I visit a website named TrueHope.com and purchase their amino acids. It does help and they are none habit forming. You may or may not want to look into it.

However, I will definitely have to take a look into the site you posted for help on meditation. I never have really participated or experienced meditation. I have a hard time blocking out the noise around me. But I will give it a try!

    Thanks so much for sharing!

    Respectfully,
    Mary R.

  3. I am the same way!!! When I lay down, I try to close my eyes but I find my mind throwing all sorts of to do lists, grocery lists, events, bills, etc. around my head. Clearly I get distracted. I found myself once or twice having to revert my focus on the audio. :) My husband and I pray together out loud when we are laying down ready for bed. This really, really helps me. It gets me to pray about all those things that I am constantly thinking about, and at the end I feel better because I prayed about it. Maybe that is not your thing, but it helps me at least.

  4. Hey there Ginger! How are you doing tonight hun? I am pretty good myself. Just thought I'd stop by and let you know how much I enjoy reading your blogs! Everything is set up so neatly. By the way I absolutely love your welcoming quote. It is so true that in life we must not ever get held up with regret, but instead live, learn, and move on or ahead! =)

I have a hard time focusing too because life is so full of other important things that we can't get out of our heads!

Just to let you know you are on my "following list" now so I will be notified whenever you update your profile. I hope you add me to yours as well!

Take care, and have a lovely night!
